When you get one again try un subscribing at the bottom of the e-mail if this doesn't work hit the spam button it should be in the menu bar. this should fix your problem.. Good Luck..

Will the internet tell you your computer is infected ?
[Question]
Today i got an message about my computer being infected but my computer didn't tell me that the internet did , it told me the i had such and such numbers of trojins and that i should download the scanner to clean my computer but i didn't fearing that it is just some kind of virus because i know my computer has nothing wrong with it so tell me does the internet tell you your computer is infected or does your computer itself tell you ? help please and thank you
Lisa V @ 2009-07-05 03:06:50

[All Answers]
don't believe those stuffs. if you have an anti virus, it will tell you so. Often, those stuffs in the internet are ads to make you download things from their site.
at @ 2009-07-05 03:11:12

they both do and u do need 2 scan it when it tells u cuz if u don't right away it will get much worse i learned that the hard way

if any1 needs any help with computer im a computer wiz even tho im 12
m.vize @ 2009-07-05 03:12:48

No, the "internet" will not tell you this. What you are seeing is actually an attempt to get you to download more spyware/adware/malware and so forth.

If you've got some sort of Virus/Firewall/WhateverWare protection on your computer already, than you are good to go.

Make sure your Internet Security Suite (if that's what you've got) is up to date.

If you don't have these items than I suggest that you get them ASAP.

Do NOT download anything that pops up on your computer. It is actually a bunch of junk.

One of the most common ones out there today actually looks like the MicroSoft shield and looks legit, but it is not.

Your computer security software will tell you if you have an issue, but not always. You need to run updates on the software and then run FULL scans at least every week.
guyofcable @ 2009-07-05 03:13:25

Nup. All those pop-ups saying "Windows Web Security" are also fake.
Nigel @ 2009-07-05 03:19:44

Those who tell you from internet that your own pc is infected, Those are infections themselves. Beware for such people, they are criminals which like to send you infections and then offer you a solution for it BUT: you have to pay . With other words: Those criminals come to eat your money.
To block them: in your menu bar on top of the screen: click on "tools" then "options or internetoptions" then on "privacy" then you see : show cookies and more but halfway is a rectangle named: "exceptions" click on it and type the name of the site in it and choose for "block" it. Then close your firefox and restart. So they are blocked to get in. For internet explorer is quiet the same procedure to follow.
Good luck, and don't let them screw you up.
gido @ 2009-07-05 03:28:23

The internet won't tell you your computer is infected, it WILL infect it. Find a good antivirus, (EG avast! Home, SUPERAntiSpyware, Norton Antivirus, etc) download, install, scan. Your computer will be telling you you're infected in that case, which the ONLY way it can is if you manually install a Trustable antivirus.
Bobby @ 2009-07-05 03:58:37

no one can't tell you that.may be a fake warning.
try to use kaspersky internet security anti-vrius.But I think you better to have a good registry cleaning program on your pc to avoid crashes.

my mom has this virus that her software cant get rid of or something. Can anyone help us?
[Question]
When she did the virus search, it said there were 9 infected files that the trojan infected and the antivirus couldnt do anything with. it was exactly.

objects name was C:\WINDOWS\System32\dfrgifps32.dll and it says its threat name is

Trojan.Generic.2075303

And im trying to find it on Bitdefenders site, but its SO hard to find stuff there. i guess there is like over 3 million diferent viruses and trojan things in their database, and im not seeing hers at all. If anyone here knows anything about computers, we could really use your help. Thanks.
Gamer Jmann @ 2009-07-05 02:34:08

well goto the directory C:\WINDOWS\System32\ and delete the file called dfrgifps32.dll

if its in use then theres some fore removal tool somewhere cant remember name of it, try googling it

anyway your antivrius should be able to delete it, use avast proffesional

Hi Jmann,

Try the approach that I detail below and be sure to scan with the free McAfee Stinger referenced...

In order to successfully remove malware infections (viruses, spyware, adware etc) from your PC you need to follow a methodical approach as well as using effective (and free) tools. There’s a decent guide covering this that you can work through at My Slow PC http://www.MySlowPC.co.uk/ – click on the “Troubleshooting” link. Here’s my advice from it:

1.) Turn System Restore OFF so any infection that you remove is not restored.

2.) Scan with a combination of the best detection utilities as you’ll find different scanners can sometimes pick up different infections. E.g.

* McAfee Stinger – a free stand-alone utility used to detect and remove specific viruses.
* SpyBot Search & Destroy – a spyware/adware scanner
* Lavasoft Adaware – for spyware/adware

Note – it might be a good idea to disconnect your network connection once you’ve updated them with the latest virus/spyware definitions. This is due to the fact that often an infection is trying to spread over your network.

3.) If the above fails or you’re not sure if you’re still infected, when you start your PC tap the F8 key, select “Safe Mode” and repeat the scans once you’re connected.

I hope the above helps, as mentioned the guide above is a lot more detailed and the My Slow PC site is pretty useful. Good luck!

ZACK NEEDS HELP, OR HERE TO HELP @ 2009-07-05 03:02:43

Read http://www.incodesolutions.com/threats3/Win32Rootdfrgifps32dll.php
It says it can inject itself into running programs, so download HijackThis and delete anything that says "Startup: lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\dfrgifps32.dll" then restart your computer and scan.

If it doesn't work then try booting in 'Safe Mode' and scan.
It worked for me when I had a virus (Trojan.DNSChanger-Codec)
Nigel @ 2009-07-05 03:17:55

Follow the instructions in the link below and a trained analyst will check your scan logs and give you advice on removing any infections that you might have for free.

What's the right way to get rid of infected files?
[Question]
I have AVG Anti-Virus 8.5, the free edition. When running a scan, it usually finds tracking cookies and similar warnings. One time I had a Swizzor virus though.
In the virus vault when I choose to restore the files, it doesn't really do nothing so I delete them - from the virus vault. I'm not sure if this actually deletes the files on my system. I don't wanna go and do it manually because one time I deleted something I shouldn't have to and I stopped Mozilla Firefox from working.
Is emptying the virus vault the way to get rid of the infected files or I have to do something else too?
Jazzy @ 2009-07-05 05:21:58

infected flies?? what are they infected with
SuperHuman @ 2009-07-05 05:25:05

well i also have avg 8.5 and when you press delete it deletes the file from the computer
Jim @ 2009-07-05 05:25:25

install an anti virus program :)
Miss Drama* @ 2009-07-05 05:26:19

The free versions have limitations and in many cases can only delete the infected files and do not have a vaccine to fix the issue. Get a high quality antivirus - the paid versions have vaccines too.

Good luck !
Friend @ 2009-07-05 05:26:30

emptying the virus vault is one step of deleting the virus, some viruses wants to be hidden all the time and your AVG cant really detect them. i may suggest you change your anti virus, like try having AVIRA or AVAST for more secure antivirus
eeBoo @ 2009-07-05 05:26:40

If you still have problems after using your anti-virus and anti-spyware programs, the best option would be to back up your important files and perform a clean install of windows.

Do you think my pc has a virus?
[Question]
I saw a website saved in my desktop but I know that I don't save webpages in my desktop. My sisters are using my pc very often but they only visit dress-up games website but dont save webpages.

I runned an anti-virus scan with Avira then the result is "No Detections!"

How come that there's a webpage saved in my desktop even though I nobody saved it? I didn't open the webpage because I am suspecting that It might be a porn site and it may cause virus and one more thing, I DON'T WATCH OR VISIT PORN WEBSITES PROMISE!

cyber1 @ 2009-07-05 03:57:58

try to change your anti-virus.Kaspersky Internet security2009 is best to avoid web viruses.
or
if you are using Internet explorer7 or high.you can go to tool ->internet option>advanced>reset or restore advanced settings...it may work.
Sherlock Holmes @ 2009-07-05 03:59:26

I could also be that your sisters saved it just by mistake and didn't know how to remove it?

Right click on the web page icon and check the "Properties..." It may give you some info.

Also you can just scan the web page only for viruses if you suspect it.

Just highlight the web page icon and hit "Delete" or "Del" key on your computer. Then you can run the virus scanner again.
